How to protect schools from leftists

For decades, forces around the world have been trying to destroy the free thought in the American school system. Whether by critical race theory, the 1619 project, the Confucius institutes, intersectionalism, or any of the other groups of thought tearing apart the freedom of independent thought from the inside out, our education system is in dire need of protection for our children and youth. Finally, states and American agencies are beginning to step up and take a stand to ensure that the freedom of independent thought is something that will still exist as we continue to move forward into the future. 

In another massive win for the citizens and families of Florida this week, the Florida Board of Education has approved a ban on critical race theory in our school system with support of the new push from the consistently productive Governor Ron Desantis.

According to the New York Post, in a unanimous vote on Thursday, despite debate on the controversial issue, the board approved the ban in support of this freedom of thought for our classroom environments. 

Ron Desantis opened the session saying, “Some of this is… really toxic… I think it’ll cause people to think of themselves more as a member of a particular race based on skin color, rather than based on the content of their character and based on their hard work and what they’re trying to accomplish in life”. He went on to claim that teaching our children that our institutions are corrupt and that the country itself is rotten is not worth any taxpayers money. 

Supporters of critical race theory broke out in an odd unanimous chant reflective of communism repeating, “Allow teachers to tell the truth!”, to which the Florida Education Union responded that their beliefs are, “politically rather than educationally motivated”. Union President Andrew Spar continued saying that, “Students deserve the best education we can provide and that means giving them a true picture of their world and our shared history as Americans. Hiding facts doesn’t change them. Give kids the whole truth and equip them to make up their own minds and think for themselves”.

Many other states are following suit in recent weeks. Parents are becoming more and more outspoken against the divisive education policies of critical race theory, the 1619 Project and the likes of which that wish to tear us apart by putting citizen against citizen based on race and class. 

Texas Governor Greg Abbott took a stand for our schools to promote American education.

He signed into law and created The 1836 Project. This new board is designed to promote patriotic education. It also increases awareness of what it means to be a citizen of the state. Abbott said on the legislation that, “I signed the law establishing the 1836 project, which promotes patriotic education and ensures future generations understand TX values. Together, we’ll keep our rich history alive.”

The new legislation from states comes after an initial push by former President Donald Trump to establish a 1776 commission promoting and protecting American values and free thought within our school systems.

The commission released its first report on January 18th of 2021. But Joe Biden immediately canceled it as he took office ending the commission on January 20th. To stop the vilification of the Founding Fathers of our nation and the idea of America itself being taught within our school system, states are being forced to step up to protect themselves from the Biden administration policy of mandating the teaching of self-hatred to our children in our taxpayer-funded school system. 

In a recent interview, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said, “The fact that we now are accusing people who are just saying things that are common sense about how to treat everybody equally and fairly have been accused of being racist… those are dangerous things in a democracy. They pose a staggering risk.”

In Virginia, a Mother who survived and escaped Mao Zedong’s cultural revolution in China took a stand and spoke out against critical race theory in our American schools saying that, “This is indeed the American version of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. The critical race theory has its roots in cultural Marxism. It should have no place in our school. I just want Americans to know that their privilege is to be here living in America, that is just the biggest privilege. I do not think a lot of people understand. They are thinking they are doing the right thing, ‘be against racism’ sounds really good. But they are basically breaking the system that is against racism… To me, and to a lot of Chinese, it is heartbreaking that we escaped communism and now we experience communism here.”

Looking back at history, let us hope that common sense will again conquer the nonsense of those who wish to destroy the freedom of thought.

Teaching our children to turn citizen against citizen within our school systems should be banned across the board. It is about time that some states have the strength to take a stand here. Let us also hope that more states across the nation do the same here and continue to sign legislation to protect our children from this division and self-hatred. 

We are a nation of free people, of all races, colors and creeds. We must protect free thought in our school system or we will become not only a communist nation, but a communist planet. America must take a stand for free-market capitalism, free speech, and the freedom of the individual to free thought. For our nation & for the future of the free world.
