Cuomo Responds to Sexual Harassment Accusation: “A Woman Has the Right to Express Her Opinion”

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo

Andrew Cuomo, the Democratic Governor of New York, responded to allegations of sexual misconduct that a former advisor made against him. Cuomo said that the allegations were not true, but that women have “the right” to “express their opinion.”

Two reporters asked Cuomo about the allegations during a coronavirus press conference.

“Yeah, I heard about the tweet and what it said about comments that I had made and it’s not true,” Cuomo said. “Look, I fought for and I believe a woman has the right to come forward and express her opinion and express issues and concerns that she has, but it’s just not true.”

The allegations were made by Lindsey Boylan, a progressive and former advisor to Andrew Cuomo. Boylan made the allegation on Twitter where she tweeted about her experience with sexual harassment.

She said in a tweet, “Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years. Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years.”

“Not knowing what to expect what’s the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it. No one. And I *know* I am not the only woman,” she continued. “I’m angry to be put in this situation at all. That because I am a woman, I can work hard my whole life to better myself and help others and yet still fall victim as countless women over generations have. Mostly silently. I hate that some men, like @NYGovCuomo abuse their power.”

During the press conference, another reporter asked Cuomo if he ever commented on Boylan’s appearance. He responded, “On the tweets, I totally respect a woman’s right, fought for a woman’s right to express any concern, any issue that she has in the workplace. I support that. But the tweets were simply not true.”

According to the New York Times,

“Ms. Boylan recently launched a campaign for Manhattan borough president, following a failed bid to unseat Representative Jerrold Nadler on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Before running for Congress, Ms. Boylan, 36, worked as a deputy secretary for economic development and as a special adviser to the governor, according to her LinkedIn page.

She has been a frequent critic of Mr. Cuomo and has long hinted at tensions with the governor’s office on social media. In 2019, Ms. Boylan, whose daughter was 5 at the time, tangled with a former Cuomo aide, Jim Malatras, about the extent to which the office accommodated working parents.”

Boylan also tweeted, “I have no interest in talking to journalists. I am about validating the experience of countless women and making sure abuse stops. My worst fear is that this continues.”

Sexual assault is NOT an opinion. This is nothing short of using the stupid phrase, “MY truth.” There is only THE truth! Cuomo’s problem is he looks slimy enough to sexually harass people.

  2. Former Democrat

  3. Former Democrat

Sure Cuomo, you’re not guilty, just like killing old people with ramming sick people into nursing homes And killing residents,

Did Andrew Cuomo, the Democratic Governor of New York, sexually abuse his former girlfriend Sandra Lee, the Food Nework Cooking star, as well? Did Sandra Lee know this sexual abuse was going on? Did Sandra Lee support his sexual abuse?

Well of course Cuomo didn’t sexually harass anyone; just like he did not cause the death of 6000+ seniors by sending covid carriers to nursing homes. Now he will be working for Biden so he can escape from New York City like Kurt Russell.

The truth is, if it wasn’t for political scum we would not be in the position we are in. It is time to get rid of them all and start from scratch. We need ones that have a real plan. And if they can’t produce the results they promise we remove them immediately . No excuses. They will tell us anything to get elected, then do what they want. It is time to put a stop to all of it.

It figures. Phony Cuomo can’t tell the truth when caught. It’s always “don’t do as I do, do as I say” with Deomcrats. He “kills” people with his fatal COVID policy of putting infected people into nursing homes. Is he prosecuted? No. Is he even investigated? No. Is he given an award for being a great leader during the pandemic? Yes!? Another 180. When will it stop?
