Afghan migrant and rejected asylum seeker, Ahmad G., has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his 17-year-old German girlfriend, Mirielle B., after she refused to convert to Islam and ended their relationship.
Earlier this week, a German court found Ahmad G., as he’s being called due to German privacy laws, guilty of stabbing Mirielle B. 14 times with a kitchen knife at her flat in Schleswig-Holstein in March of last year after she ended their relationship.
During the trial, it was revealed that Ahmad S. was able to enter Germany originally in 2015 as an ‘unaccompanied minor refuge’ after he falsely claimed he was only 18-years-old while filing for asylum. He was actually found to be 29 years old when the court ordered an age test after doubting the man’s age claim.
According to court proceedings, the 29-year-old Afghan migrant became jealous after he found out that 17-year-old Mirielle had found a new boyfriend following their break up. He was deeply angered by the fact that he couldn’t control every aspect of the teenage girl’s life. According to prosecutors, the two had been together for about two years before she dumped him in February of last year after she refused to convert to Islam and wear an Islamic headscarf.
The court described Ahmad S. as a ‘narcissistic personality.’
Following the brutal murder, the 29-year-old Afghan migrant called emergency services himself. When the police arrived on the scene, he first denied killing the girl, telling paramedics that Mirielle had stabbed herself with a knife. However, images that were captured on CCTV, and evidence obtained from Ahmad’s mobile phone proved that he was in the 17-year-old victim’s apartment at the time of her death.
During sentencing, the judge told Ahmad S. he had ignored the ‘personal value’ of the 17-year-old German girl, whom he considered ‘his property.’ At the very least, Ahmad will serve 15 years in prison. But is that enough?
Perhaps the question that we all should be asking is why is the Europe Union allowing massive amounts of these military-aged, predatory men, who view women as ‘property,’ into Europe? It’s as if their primary goal is to destroy Europe…
In recent years, a growing number of asylum seekers and migrants from the Middle East and North Africa have been caught lying about their age to secure a better chance of asylum when entering Europe.
Last year in March, Hussein Khavari, an Afghan asylum seeker was sentenced to life in prison for the rape and murder of 19-year-old medical student Maria Ladenburger, the daughter of a high-ranking EU official. At the time of the savage killing, Khavari claimed to be only 17, but testing on his teeth proved that he was between 22 and 29 years old. His father later claimed he is 34-years-old.
Pro-mass migration NGOs like Advocates Abroad have been caught red-handed teaching migrants how to lie doing their interviews with immigration officials to help them have a better chance at being accepted as ‘asylum seekers.’
Isn’t it time we treated these NGOs with blood on their hands no differently than human traffickers?
Despite President Trump’s multiple calls for unity during his impressive State-of-the-Union address last night, it still seems to be the “same old, same old” from the left when it comes to border wall funding and the necessity of “partisan probes.”
The president’s appeals to the Democrats to end “partisan” probes into his White House, as well as his call for cooperation on border security to prevent another partial government shutdown, met, not surprisingly, with a less than warm response from the other side of the aisle. Soon after the speech, the push for unity quickly gave way to new rounds of typical Washington spite and vindictiveness.
“We Must Be United”
“An economic miracle is taking place in the United States — and the only thing that can stop it are foolish wars, politics or ridiculous partisan investigations,” Trump said Tuesday night, referring to investigations into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election and Trump’s business dealings.
“If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation,” he went on to say. “It just doesn’t work that way! We must be united at home to defeat our adversaries abroad.”
That statement was met by a visible wince from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. It was one of many body signals which showed her distaste for Trump’s mostly positive messaging during the speech. Pelosi later issued a statement saying Trump had “threatened the United States Congress not to exercise its constitutional responsibility of oversight.”
On the morning of the day after the State-of-the-Union speech was given, Rep. Elijah Cummings, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, rejected the claim the investigations were partisan.
“We are doing what is demanded by the Constitution which is to be the check and balance on the executive branch. We’re sworn to do that. And we’re going to do that. So again, we’re going to address all the issues that we have to regard to investigations and at the same time making sure we take care of the American people.”
While Trump repeatedly pressed for unity in the speech itself, the president faced accusations from Democrats of undermining that message with fiery rhetoric and a continued push for a border wall the party opposes.
“Frankly, it reminded me of Richard Nixon’s last State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress,” Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., told Politico on Tuesday. “It’s the same old same old coming from this White House and this president. So disappointing and inappropriate and, frankly, the worst of Richard Nixon.”
The government partially shut down at the end of last year because of a stalemate over Trump’s demand for $5.7 billion in funding for the wall. Trump temporarily ended the shutdown last month but has warned he could declare a national emergency if Democrats don’t play ball. In his address, he renewed his calls for a wall on the border, and for Democrats to lend their support.
In the SOTU Trump said, “Simply put, walls work, and walls save lives,” Trump said. “So let’s work together, compromise and reach a deal that will truly make America safe. … This is a smart, strategic, see-through steel barrier — not just a simple concrete wall.”
As expected, Democrats sloughed off such comments with the kind of disdain and disrespect they showed for the president throughout the night, this time by sitting on their hands, which should come as no surprise, because sitting on their hands and asses, while Americans suffer or are under threat, is what Democrats do best.
The unofficial “not the sharpest tool in Congress,” left-wing wunderkind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has said that her proposed “70% tax on the ultra-wealthy” would only hit wealthy time owners and not the regular players like those who took the field during the recent Super Bowl.
While Cortez’s comments were in response to a joke, there was nothing funny about the way she once again showed her fundamental misunderstanding of even the most basic economic concepts.
Surely You Must Be Joking?
In response to a joke made by GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas about imposing a top rate of 70 percent on the Patriots to even out the competition, the New York Democrat said the average player would not earn enough to be affected.
The joke, which was an obvious jab by Crenshaw at Ocasio-Cortez, who has talked about a “70% tax on billionaires,” sparked this tweet from the freshman Congresswoman.
The average NFL salary is $2.1 million, so most players would never experience a 70% rate.
The owners who refuse to hire Kaepernick would, though.
Ocasio-Cortez, the self-described Democratic socialist, had previously suggested imposing a 70% tax rate on those with incomes in excess of $10 million during an interview on 60 Minutes, in order to pay for a so-called “Green New Deal” — which would be a massive investment in clean energy infrastructure, aiming to eliminate carbon emissions in a little more than a decade.
According to Fox News, the owners of both Super Bowl teams – the Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams – are indeed billionaires.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft has an estimated net worth of $6.6 billion, according to Forbes. He purchased the team in 1994 for $172 million – it is now worth an estimated $3.8 billion. Kraft also owns Gillette Stadium – the Patriots home field – as well as many other sports ventures. He has donated $600 million to charity.
Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke is married to Walmart heiress Ann Walton. He has a net worth estimated at $8.5 billion. The prominent real estate developer became sole owner of the Rams in 2020 – the team is now valued around $3.2 billion.
Kroenke also owns the NBA’s Denver Nuggets, the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, and the Premier League soccer club Arsenal, as well as various stadiums and media properties.
While Ocasio-Cortez noted the average NFL salary is $2.1 million, some of the players in this year’s big game took home much heftier wages in 2018.
Taxing the Rich – a Typical Call From the Left Wing Playbook
Ocasio-Cortez is far from the only left-leaning lawmaker to propose hiking taxes on the wealthiest of Americans. Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders recently introduced an expansion of the estate tax, the so-called “death tax” – to a rate of 77% for those passing on assets worth more than $1 billion. Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren, meanwhile, has called for a 2 percent tax on ultra-high net worth individuals — those she describes as having more than $50 million in assets. The rate would rise to 3 percent for those with assets valued at more than $1 billion.
Tax hike proposals are gaining steam in the run-up to the 2020 election. A recent Fox News Poll showed a majority – 51 percent – of respondents said they favored spending more on domestic programs over cutting taxes and reducing spending. Their preferred method of financing those projects is through taxing the wealthy. About 70 percent of voters favored raising taxes on those making more than $10 million each year.
Although President Trump’s tax cuts have been stimulating the economy as he anticipated, expect Democrats vying for the White House to run on their usual “tax the rich” platform.
European Girls in Vienna are Wearing Headscarves to Avoid Assaults by Male Muslim Migrants.
Marcus Franz, a physician and former MP from the conservative Austrian People’s Party created outrage on social media after he said the non-Muslim European girls in Vienna have started to wear Islamic headscarves to prevent street harassment and assault by male Muslim migrants.
During an appearance last week on OE24, a local Austrian television station, Franz stated, “Speak with women on the street, speak with children, speak with young girls. I know fathers who, when their daughters come home in the evening when they live in the problem area, give them headscarves so they won’t be recognized as Austrians. I know this personally, in the 15th district [of Vienna], this is a fact.”
The doctor and former MP went on to say that native Austrian women were afraid because of ‘permanent micro-aggressions’ and being sexually propositioned by Muslim men on the streets of Vienna. This is especially common in the districts where lots of migrants live.
Franz added that European girls who don’t wear Islamic headscarves were being “propositioned with unpleasant aggression and attitudes, and the girls and women, quite simply, are afraid.”
“You can see it in the population if you work in a social profession like me,” Franz remarked, adding, “We need to distinguish clearly between the settled population and those who have arrived more recently.”
This story shares unsettling similarities to how some native German girls who attend the schools with significant migrant populations have also been wearing hijabs to prevent harassment and aggressive behavior aimed at them.
In March of last year, a number of news outlets reported that the headmaster of school in Frankfurt, Germany, told a mother whose daughter was being aggressively bullied by Muslim students due to her blonde hair, Christianity, and because she didn’t wear a headscarf, to cover her up with a hijab to prevent the harassment.
“Your daughter does not have to say that she is German. Besides, you can give her a headscarf!” the headmaster told her.
The mother of the student told BILD, a German news outlet, that she was ‘forced to take her daughter out of school for her protection’ because the Muslim girls were bullying her to such a significant degree.
In late 2016, a UN-sponsored advertisement in Germany encouraged women to wear Islamic headscarves to show ‘tolerance.’ The German government used public funds to run the 18-second ad.
Many women in Sweden have also started to wear Islamic headscarves to avoid sexual harassment and assault. Sexual assaults in Sweden have skyrocketed since the migrant crisis began in 2015.
Migrant violence against women has spread like a like a plague throughout Europe since the EU first allowed an enormous influx of migrants from Northern Africa and the Middle East in 2015. Reports of sexual harassment and assault against European women are much higher in Western European countries where more migrants have been allowed in (i.e., Germany, Sweden, Austria).
Meanwhile, reports of the same nature are virtually non-existent in countries like Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia (the Visegrád Group), where the governments have taken a hardline stance against mass migration from majority Muslim countries.
Perhaps the governments of Western Europe should be taking their cues from the Visegrád countries.
President Donald Trump has said in his State of the Union address tonight, who will be calling for unity and an end to the partisan bickering that forced the most extended government shutdown in history.
Dispute Trump’s plans to make a plea for cooperation and pledge to find common ground with Democratic lawmakers, judging by a look at the Left’s guest list, they aren’t buying it.
According to Fox News, the Democrats are planning to “troll” Trump by bringing a guest to the State of the Union that are bound to stick in the craw of the president.
A Guest List of Left-Wing Activists and Immigrants
For example, flaky new democratic congresswoman, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, (D-N.Y.), said she would be bringing Ana Maria Archila, the activist who made headlines protesting against now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, by cornering then-Senator Jeff Flake in an elevator.
While Ocasio-Cortez has chosen to highlight the controversy surrounding Kavanaugh with her guest, other Democrats have guests who should be equally thorny to the president, such as individuals who they claim have been “directly affected” by the ongoing immigration debate and the recent partial government shutdown.
Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, D- N.J., invited Victoria Morales, a Guatemalan woman living in the U.S. illegally, who reportedly was fired from the Trump National Golf Club.
Sandra Diaz, a native of Costa Rica who worked at Trump’s club from 2010 to 2013, also will be attending the State of the Union as a guest of Democratic Rep. Jimmy Gomez of California.
Diaz was also hired without legal papers. She is now a legal permanent U.S. resident and said she decided to speak out because she is angry about the president describing some immigrants as violent.
Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., invited a mother and daughter from Guatemala who was denied asylum in the U.S. and eventually was separated for two months last spring after they were caught illegally crossing the southern border.
Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., who is running for president in 2020, invited Trisha Pesiri-Dybvik, an air traffic controller who lost her home in the 2017 Thomas Fire in Southern California and was one of the 800,000 federal workers who missed paychecks during the shutdown.
“Trisha Pesiri-Dybvik was one of the more than 800,000 federal workers whose paychecks were withheld during the shutdown — and it happened while her family was still recovering from losing their home in the Thomas Fire,” Harris wrote on Twitter. “I’m honored she will join me at the State of the Union.”
Democrats have also guests affected by gun violence, high drug, and insurance costs and the Trump administration’s changes to rules on transgender people in the military.
Democrats, however, do not have a monopoly on using the State of the Union guest list to score points and foster a political narrative.
Republicans are bringing guests ranging from survivors of sexual slavery in the Middle East to survivors of the opioid epidemic and Border Patrol agents.
However, despite both sides playing politics with the guest list, the official White House theme for the speech is “Choosing Greatness,” and the plan for the president’s second State-of-the-Union, is to pitch a message of political togetherness and reset relations with Democrats who took control of the lower house of Congress in the midterm elections and have made it their goal to stymie anything on the White House’s agenda.
But, will Trump stay on script, or lash out at a crowd that was intentionally seeded with hostile guests? That remains to be seen.
Never a fan of the mainstream media, and of The Washington Post in particular, Donald Trump Jr. has slammed the paper for their Super Bowl ad, implying that if the news outlet didn’t spend so much time reporting on “Fake News,” it would not have had to spend millions of dollars on a Super Bowl ad, to improve its credibility.
In a scathing tweet following the airing of the commercial during the game, Don Jr. said, “You know how MSM journalists could avoid having to spend millions on a #superbowl commercial to gain some underserved credibility?” Trump Jr. tweeted. “How about report the news and not their leftist BS for a change.”
The paper’s ad, which ran 60 seconds, was narrated by actor Tom Hanks, who co-starred in the 2017 film “The Post.” The ad showcased the importance of journalism and the Jeff Bezos-owned publication’s slogan, “Democracy dies in darkness.”
Even Washington Post Workers Agree
Donald Trump Jr. was not the only viewer who took exception with the ad, I am sure his father shares his views, but according to Fox News, even some people who work at the paper agreed with Don Jr.
Fredrick Kunkle, a Post staff writer, and co-chair of its union echoed Trump Jr.’s criticism of the ad, which he called an “infuriating expense.” In his own tweet, Kunkle condemned the Post for supposedly not providing health insurance to its part-time employees, laying people off, and cutting their severance and yet having the funds to run an expensive ad during the Super Bowl.
According to CNBC, the newspaper reportedly paid around $5.25 million for the 60-second ad. Given the current budget cuts that are hitting The Post and impacting jobs and the quality of life of hardworking journalists, Kunkle told USA Today that he felt the ad was “extravagant and in poor taste.”
Six Tunisian migrants have been accused of kidnapping, raping, and subjecting a 32-year-old Belgian woman to sexual slavery for months in the city of Sanremo, along the Italian Riviera. Authorities in Italy are currently investigating the harrowing case.
The woman, who eventually was able to get away from her abductors, said that her captivity lasted between January and February of 2017. This report comes not long after four undocumented immigrants from Senegal, Nigeria, and Gambia were arrested in October of 2018 by Italian police for drugging, raping, and murdering Desiree Mariottini, a 16-year-old Italian girl, in the Italian capital of Rome.
Investigators have stated that the woman, who lives on the French Riviera (Côte d’Azur), initially approached the alleged kidnappers after they offered to sell her drugs on the night of January the 10th. The Tunisian men, whose ages range from 23 to 50, then used the opportunity to force the woman back to one of their homes where they then tied her to a bed a repeatedly raped her.
At some point during the two months, the six men went from just taking turns raping the woman and began inviting others to the house to rape her in exchange for cash. A news outlet in Belgium reported that the horrifying ordeal abruptly ended when the captors released the woman after holding her as a prisoner for nearly two months.
The six suspects are now in the custody of Italian authorities and have been charged with kidnapping, sexual abuse, and aiding and abetting prostitution. The victim testified at a court hearing late last week.
The case made international headlines and had incited an intense public debate on migrant sex crimes which have become all too common since the European migrant crisis first began in 2015. Initial reports of this case sparked protests where thousands of Italians took to the streets to protest against the Mayor of Rome’s policies which mirror that of the EU’s open-door refugee policy. Well over two million migrants have arrived in Europe since the crisis began in 2015.
Over New Year’s, a similar case unfolded in Austria. Nine Iraqi asylum seekers were charged with the rape of a German woman in Vienna after one of them lured her to an apartment. After being raped by the nine men, she was, fortunately, able to escape the following day and informed German authorities.
About a week ago, Ali Bashar, a rejected asylum seeker from Iraq, was charged for the rape and murder of 14-year-old Susanna Maria Feldman. German authorities were forced to extradite Bashar from Iraq after he fled the country upon committing the heinous crimes.
Italy, with its vast Mediterranean coastline, has found itself on the front lines on the front lines of the European migrant crisis. Varying reports have suggested that over 600,000 migrants have penetrated its borders since 2015. Most have reached its shores by boat from Africa.
In 2018, Italy elected Matteo Salvini, the leader of the right-wing populist League party, as their head of state. Since his election, he has taken a hardline approach to immigration and has repeatedly challenged the EU’s toxic immigration policy.
Immediately after assuming office, Salvini drew harsh criticism from EU technocrats after he closed all Italian ports to NGO ships who attempt to bring in rescued migrants at sea. He also suspended the asylum process for individuals considered to be ‘socially dangerous.’
Europe desperately needs more leaders like Salvini who refuse to put the needs of foreign migrants ahead of the safety and security of European people.
On Sunday, thousands of French protestors clad in red scarves gathered in Paris to protest against ‘violence’ and ‘disruption’ which they attribute to the three months of anti-government demonstrations by the Yellow Vest movement.
Over the span of eleven consecutive Saturdays, the Yellow Vest movement has paralyzed much of France with street demonstrations and road blockades.
Similarly to the Yellow Vest movement, what first began as an online movement has now moved to the streets of France. They call themselves the ‘Red Scarves’. Many of the ‘Red Scarves’ are former ‘Yellow Vests’ who share similar concerns like the rising cost of living. Other than their attire, what separates the Red Scarves from the Yellow Vests is their opposition to the violence or vandalism of any kind, which a minority of individuals within the Yellow Vest movement have indulged in over the past few months.
Since the Yellow Vest movement began on November 17th of last year, 11 people have lost their lives while over 2,000 have been injured during violent clashes with police. The creation of the new Red Scarves movement unveils deep divisions within French society that were previously unseen during the last three months of protests.
While Yellow Vest protests accuse government forces of using an excessive amount of unwarranted force against them, representatives from the Red Scarves claim that the police have right and obligation to intervene to restore order.
Participants in the Red Scarves counter-protest marched toward Bastille square in French capital with signs that read ‘hands off my Republic’ and ‘stop the violence’. The counter-protestors shouted ‘Long live our policemen! Long live our gendarmes!’
The Red Scarves were originally founded by John Christophe Werner. In an interview with the French newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré, Werner said that he first created the group because “French citizens are being penalized every day by the Yellow Vests’ methods”. “Today, a lot of people are scared to leave their houses, to use the roads, to drive to their jobs,” he added.
In their joint manifesto, the group has states, “We denounce the insurrectional climate installed by the Yellow Vests. We also reject the threats and constant verbal abuse [suffered by non-Yellow Vests].”
“We reject violence. We defend the Republic. We promote dialogue,” they proclaim.
According to various news outlets in France, a split has already occurred among the Red Scarves over whether they should or shouldn’t show support for President Macron.
The Red Scarves currently have over 21,000 followers on Facebook.
“Build the Wall,” “Build the Wall,” “Build the Wall,” – it was the chant of fervent Trump supporters throughout his campaign, and according to Breitbart News, the president had better heed those not so distant echoes.
According to a report published by the Trump friendly news service, “a poll of 2,700 Trump voters shows that President Donald Trump will lose 43 percent of his base of support if a border wall is not built.”
What’s more, the article said that the poll “shows that only 43 percent of Trump voters consider the conclusion of the government shutdown a victory for Trump, even as 60 percent approved of ending the partial shutdown.”
The poll, which was conducted by Ear to the Ground, found that most “Trump voters still support the President for the time-being, even if they view the outcome of the Shutdown Showdown as his loss.” Ear to the Ground is a self-proclaimed “listening project,” whose stated mission is “a collaboration of individuals seeking to understand and amplify the voice of the American people.”
The poll also indicated that Trump’s supporters by a huge margin of 95 percent, approve of him building the border wall by declaring a national emergency.
The Base Is Sticking, But There Could Be Trouble Ahead
According to the poll, Trump’s base is sticking with him, but without a border wall, his support would collapse almost in half.
And therein lies the answer to the Democrats rabid opposition to a “wall,” or “barrier” or any structure that Trump can attach his name to on the southern border, even though they once voted for funding such a structure in the past.
To do so now, will allow President Trump to claim he kept his central campaign promise. And although Democrats and the media know we need physical structures to protect our border, what is more important to both groups – professed enemies of the President — is preventing him from keeping that promise at all costs. They believe — and according to this poll, rightly so — that the fastest way to defeat Trump in 2020 is to destroy his base of support.
Granted, we are a long way off from the 2020 presidential campaign — and a lot can happen between now and then. But, “Build the Wall” is Trump’s quintessential campaign pledge. If Trump is unable to keep this promise, the same Democrats and media who worked tirelessly to ensure the wall was not built — will triumphantly turn around and taunt him for not keeping the promise his entire campaign was built on – and that could spell trouble for his reelection.
