A business is not a person that can be infected or pass an infection on to another person. If businesses, especially small businesses, cannot limit liability it won’t be long before they close because the risk involved in being open and having a potentially infected person passing the virus to another person on it s premises is too great. It would take one instance to shutter a small business. Additionally a small business that is a sole proprietorship or partnership leaves the owners open to having all personal assets included in any settlement that would come from a court action or being forced to settle out-of-court by its insurance carrier. Juries seem to think a business is an entity with unlimited assets and that is not the case.
