Republican Representative Devin Nunes recently told Fox’s Sean Hannity that he expects the DOJ inspector general to find that the Carter Page FISA warrants were illegal.
Hannity broached the topic with the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee during an interview Tuesday evening, saying, “We keep hearing that the FISA report by the inspector general is going to be devastating. I would assume that he concludes that all four FISA applications and warrants were obtained illegally. Do you see any different conclusion than that?”
“No, I don’t, Sean,” Nunes replied.
Hannity was referring to the long anticipated report being worked on by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who’s been conducting high-profile probes related to the FBI and DOJ’s actions in the Russia election meddling
Nunes joins fellow Republican Rep. Jim Jordan in making this prediction along with Hannity, who on an almost nightly basis has been saying how he expects there to be “bombshells” revealed when Horowitz’s report is made public.
Hannity and Jordan have both said that they believe the FBI committed “premeditated fraud” before the FISA Court in using an unverified anti-Trump dossier to obtain the original warrant on Page, and three renewals, from October 2016 to June 2017.
Former U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova has gone further, saying he has “heard” that the initial FISA warrant against Page and the three renewals, which came at three-month intervals, were “illegally obtained.”
Speaking on the Washington Examiner’s “Examining Politics” podcast late last month, diGenova said that he got his insider information because the report is “being circulated inside and outside of the department for comment by interested parties.”
A draft of Horowitz’s report – was submitted to Attorney General William Barr on Friday, Sept. 13, for a classification review. Lawmakers expect to receive the report, likely with redactions, and release it to the public in the next coming weeks.
Although he is unaware of how many pages the report will be, Nunes said, “I imagine it will be long.”
Nunes has been a lead GOP investigator regarding the Justice Department’s and FBI’s behavior in the Trump-Russia investigation. He says that Horowitz’s work, including the recent report admonishing former FBI Director James Comey for his handling of sensitive memos, is essential to the “evidence gathering” process for U.S. Attorney John Durham, whom Barr tasked with leading a review of the origins of the Russia investigation.
Nunes concluded his interview with Hannity by saying there needs to be transparency in order to hold people properly accountable.
“We don’t want to see it all blacked out. We want the American people to see everything,” Nunes said. “In order for that to happen, a lot of the documents that we have been requesting to be declassified have got to be declassified now. I would only add on just one final point on all of this and that is that Durham needs to gather all of the evidence and needs to make sure, whatever he takes, if he’s going to actually do a prosecution of these dirty cops, he needs to have all the evidence. He needs to get it right. Because we want to make sure that justice is definitely served in this case.”
“You don’t feel like you’re in America anymore,” said one observer.
A video published on YouTube over a year ago claimed that the Muslim population in Dearborn, Michigan, had reached almost 50 percent.
Life-long resident Brian demonstrated this point by driving a News Guru reporter to the east side of Dearborn. Brian said:
“You’ll see the culture shift where you won’t feel that you’re in the United States any longer.”
The change recorded on video was startling. Suddenly, every billboard and all commercial signage were written in Arabic. Buildings were adorned with Arabic architectural features, notably domed roofs. English letters spelled out “American Moslem Society” on the side of one building.
The video credited former U.S. President Barack Obama with taking in more Middle Eastern migrants than Mexico and Central American combined.
We know that some of these newly-arrived Muslims defrauded the Minnesota daycare and other public assistance programs a whopping $100 million a year. Whether they brought their money with them or robbed it from their unsuspecting host country, migrants are literally buying America out from under us.
“They come in to buy the strip mall. They move the previous owners out. They increase the rent dramatically to force people out. And then, they put similar businesses in but with an Arabic tone,” explained Brian.
Some Syrian migrant men have arrived in Dearborn with up to four wives accompanying them (Islam sanctions polygamy). The men file for public assistance with one and bring in the other three as extended family members.
Brian said migrants drive expensive cars (“Range Rovers” and others valued at $70 thousand) while paying for food with the state welfare department’s EBT (electronic benefit transfer) cards. They lived in homes valued between $250,000-$300,000, wore designer clothes carrying Prada purses while shopping with coupons and accepting Medicaid benefits.
Immigrants from the Middle East represent the fastest-growing demographic in the U.S.
In 2016, nearly 85,000 refugees were settled in the U.S. by the State Department. In 2018, the number dropped to 45,000. The Trump administration announced plans in the fall of 2018 to further reduce that number to 30,000 for 2019.
As of the 2010 census, Dearborn, Michigan had a population of 98,153 and was home to the nation’s largest Muslim population.
Muslims are using their wealth and number to influence the U.S. educational and governing systems. Dearborn employed a Muslim refugee to welcome other Arabs from war-torn countries with a sympathetic “long journey on a cattle raft” story. Dearborn is a different kind of American community because “many of the students in the Dearborn Public Schools are refugees who have come from countries embroiled in devastating civil wars like Syria or Yemen.”
Further proof of the rise of Islam in the U.S. comes from St. Louis Park City in Minnesota which is located in Muslim Congresswoman Omar Ilhan’s district. On June 17, 2019, the city council there voted to do away with reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to Old Glory before each meeting.
Councilman Tim Brausen announced that the reasoning behind dispensing with this time-honored custom was the standard liberal feel-good refrain: to accommodate the religious, cultural, and political beliefs of a significant minority that is rapidly gaining ground in America:
“In order to create a more welcoming environment to a diverse community, we are going to forgo saying the Pledge of Allegiance before every meeting.”
In 2018, a middle school in Virginia banned all songs that mentioned “Jesus” from its annual Christmas concert. The reason given, according to the choir teacher at Robious Middle School in Chesterfield, was:
“We had a few students who weren’t comfortable singing a piece I have done many times in the past, but it is of a sacred nature and does mention Jesus.”
The unspoken cultural war between Christians and Muslims is going on abroad as well. An Australian city council voted to cancel funding for the annual Christmas event they had sponsored for 25 years. The reason given by Counselor Darren Kruse for putting an end to “Carols by the Creek” in Adelaide should be a familiar one by now:
“People of Muslim faith, and Sikh faith, and the multitude of other faiths we have in our community may not feel included.”
Chris Kenny, a local news reporter responded:
“What weak, self-loathing rot. People talk about the culture wars – this is cultural shame, cultural humiliation, cultural embarrassment, it’s even cultural vandalism. There’s no shame in continuing your culture, enjoying it, adding to it, and celebrating it.”
“This episode just exposes the intellectual, moral, social, and cultural weakness of the virtue signalers and the green-left poseurs.”
Many in the United States agree that migrants who shun integration in favor of separatism and governmental overthrow need closer attention from the federal government. People who question the Leftist agenda to flood Muslims into every part of the western world are labeled “anti-Islamic” and “Islamaphobic.”
The fact remains that Muslims are instructed by their religious leaders from birth to follow their faith which preaches subjugation of and death to the infidel.
Probably because he has the writing on the wall, Bernie Sanders has just made a big change to his ground game in the crucial Democratic primary state of New Hampshire.
For months now, and especially since Elizabeth Warren’s performance in the 3rd Democratic Debate, longtime supporters of Bernie have been warning him that he could lose the New Hampshire primary.
I guess he is now listening to those concerns. On Sunday, Sanders replaced the director of his presidential campaign operations in the New Hampshire. New Hampshire as you know, holds the first primary in the race for the White House
The campaign broke the news to more than 40 members of Sanders’ steering committee. Shannon Jackson, who made the announcement, will replace Joe Caiazzo as the state director. Jackson ran Sanders’ 2018 Senate re-election campaign and was a senior adviser on the independent senator’s 2016 White House bid as well as the current campaign.
“Thank God the campaign finally figured out they had to make serious changes in New Hampshire,” a longtime Sanders backer who attended the meeting told Fox News.
The move comes as some Sanders supporters in New Hampshire are looking over their shoulders at Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts – the other progressive standard-bearer in the record-setting field of Democratic presidential candidates.
Recent polls in New Hampshire have been inconsistent. A recent live telephone operator survey from the Boston Herald and Franklin Pierce University indicated Sanders at 29 percent, overall front-runner and former Vice President Joe Biden at 21 percent and Elizabeth Warren at 19 percent.
But another recent poll suggested a three-way tie between the three top-tier contenders and a yet a third suggested Sanders lagging painfully behind Biden and Warren.
Sanders campaign manager Faiz Shakir said in a statement released to the press on Sunday that “we’ve built a great team in NH and are in a really strong position there. The campaign is now building out our operations to include Massachusetts and Maine state directors as we increase our focus in Super Tuesday states. We are running a 50 state campaign, taking no state or voters for granted and expanding our operations to secure the Democratic nomination.”
Caiazzo was moved to one of those Super Tuesday states – Massachusetts. Caiazzo served as the Sanders 2016 campaign’s state director in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Is New Hampshire a Must Win for Bernie?
While Bernie himself has indicated the contrary, a well-known New Hampshire based political scientist says that the Granite State is a “must win” for Warren or Bernie if either of them is to get the nomination. “New Hampshire is a must-win-or-place state for Senators Sanders and Warren,” said Wayne Lesperance, the vice president of academic affairs and a political science professor at New England College.
“For both candidates, there is no better home-field advantage in the early states than the Granite State.
I am not into conspiratorial theories and I do admit that the headline is a bit provocative. BUT these are unusual times and the loyal opposition – as we once called the out party – seems to have discarded the “loyal” adjective.
It started with the efforts to upset the 2016 election by having the Electoral College to break faith and elect someone other than Donald Trump as President of the United States. Failing at that, the newly formed #NeverTrump Resistance Movement tried to have Congress block Trump’s inauguration – although that is not in the purview of Congress to do such a thing. It was an act of nutty desperation.
Even before Trump took the oath of office, the calls for impeachment were voiced from the radical left within the Democratic Party. Never has it been suggested that a President be impeached BEFORE he took office. It would have been more understandable had California and New York – the epicenters of Trump hatred – led an effort to secede from the Union as the Democrats did when Abraham Lincoln was elected. Only this time there would have been no effort to stop them.
In the early days of the Trump administration, certain figures in the intelligence and law enforcement leadership elevated the Resistance Movement to the level of a bit of a d’état. Remember, former FBI Director James Comey admitted under oath that he leaked documents in order to have a special counsel named – and why would you do that unless you wanted to build a case for the removal of the President?
This led to the dubious Russian collusion investigation that fell short when Special Counsel Robert Mueller found that Trump & Co. did NOT conspire with the Russians – and he further refused to allege charges of obstruction of justice. With that strategy in shambles – and the soiled hands of the coup plotters being investigated by the Inspector General – Democrats took advantage to launch more investigations of Trump than the mythical Medusa had serpents as a poisonous hairpiece – including a faux impeachment effort.
They have called for virtually every member of the Cabinet to resign at one time or another – most recently Attorney General Robert Barr.
Having failed to block both the seating of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh as justices of the Supreme Court, they now want to reclaim a liberal majority by calling for the impeachment of Kavanaugh. There is nothing … absolutely nothing … that Kavanaugh has done since assuming his seat on the high court that would remotely justify an impeachment.
Rather, the Resistance Movement Democrats want to re-do the confirmation hearings – just as they are now trying to re-do the Mueller investigation. They say Kavanaugh lied under oath – which they had alleged during the hearings. They say that the FBI failed to follow up on accusations that Kavanaugh exposed himself at a couple of drunken frat parties during his days at Yale.
(I must stop and digress. Are they kidding? We do not know if it is true or not. Kavanaugh denies it. BUT … a college kid gets drunk and whips out his wang at a frat party??? Or maybe it was just “mooning” – a kids craze as long as I can remember. Even if true, it hardly warrants even a discussion of impeachment. Oh! For the record … I never did. It is sort of like a gun. Don’t pull it out unless you intend to use it. I do have to confess, however, that a group of my classmates and I did “moon” the girls’ dorm one night. So, enough of this salacious digression.)
Kavanaugh went through one of the most thorough investigations and hearings in American history. Do you recall how the hearings were extended because the Democrats said the FBI had not finished looking into all the dark corners. The further investigation found nothing new except a phony accusation trumped up by discredited attorney Michael Avenatti.
So, now the Democrats are AGAIN saying the investigation by the FBI was insufficient. As long as they do not get the results they want, Democrats seem determined to go over the same ground in endless pursuit of something that does not exist.
The Democrats primary objective is not oversight. It is not seeking the truth. It is not upholding the rule-of-law. It is to use … abuse, that is … the power of Congress to disrupt and unseat the duly elected government of America. It is a raw and dangerous attempt to regain the power they lost in the 2016 election.
So, there ‘tis.
All gloves were off in Houston last night, as the nearly 3 hour long Democratic debate, quickly turned into a slugfest between, former VP Joe Biden, and progressive Senators Bernie Saunders and Elizabeth Warren.
Long-simmering policy disputes between the top three contenders and a slew of other candidates exploded onto the stage during the third televised Democratic primary debate, as the candidates — often with loud and angry voices – duked it out on “Medicare-for-all,” immigration, and more.
Intermittent efforts by some candidates to show unity and keep the heat on President Trump repeatedly failed, with most striving instead to score an aggressive debate “moment” onstage in Houston.
Amid the verbal sparring, Pete Buttigieg offered an exit ramp from the feuding as he criticized the Democrats for “scoring points against each other” — prompting Julian Castro to interject, “That’s called an election!”
“Yeah, but a house divided cannot stand,” Amy Klobuchar retorted, to no avail. As the candidates continued to fight with each other, instead of taking jabs at Trump, it could only leave the President smiling.
The economy, which, thanks to Trump’s policies, has performed well by virtually all major metrics in the past year, went largely undiscussed during the raucous three-hour debate. And, even as House Democrats made a push towards potentially impeaching the President this week, that topic conspicuously did not come up either.
A Rumble From the Outset
A tone of conflict was set from the very start of the contentious debate, when Biden set the agenda by going after Warren directly, saying to her, “I know the senator says she’s for Bernie,” Biden said. “Well, I’m for Barack.”
He then tossed this barb at Sanders.
“For a socialist, you’ve got a lot more confidence in corporate America than I do,” Biden shot back at Sanders when the U.S. senator from Vermont suggested corporations would return the money they currently make on high insurance premiums if his sweeping plan were implemented.
Sanders responded by referring to cancer treatment, leading Biden to sharply reply, “I know a lot about cancer — it’s personal to me.” Brain cancer killed Biden’s son Beau four years ago.
These almost immediate clashes settled any questions about whether the top-tier candidates – meeting onstage for the first time – would be pulling any punches. Biden was clearly mindful that Warren has been surging in recent weeks and came out fighting to hold onto his frontrunner status, while several candidates continued to pile on Biden as they have at past debates.
But perhaps the night’s most heated exchange came between Biden and fellow Obama administration member Julian Castro, who tangled at length indirect and seemingly personal terms.
“I’m fulfilling the legacy of Barack Obama, and you’re not,” Castro said, referring to the millions of Americans who lack health coverage — leading Biden to respond, “That’ll be a surprise to him.”
Castro hammered Biden for claiming that individuals would not be required to buy into his health care plan in order to receive coverage.
“You just said two minutes ago they would have to buy in. Are you forgetting what you said two minutes ago?” Castro asked, a seeming pointed jab at Biden’s age. However, Biden did not say during the debate that individuals would have to buy in. Instead, Biden said that individuals would automatically be enrolled if they lost their jobs.
Joe’s Goofs and Gaffes
While Castro’s dig at Biden’s age may have seen meanspirited, the former VP was showing signs of wear during the almost 3 hours on his feet, and he did have his share of goofs and gaffes. He repeated more than once the inaccurate claim that children were not kept in cages under the Obama administration. In fact, the most widely circulated photo of children in cages in immigration detention centers, though falsely attributed to the Trump era, was taken during Obama’s presidency.
When asked how can school children be better informed and more articulate today, Biden said they should be sure to, “Play the radio. Make sure the television, excuse me, make sure you have the record player on at night, the phone…”
But perhaps he “stepped in it” the worst time of the night, when he suggested that those who commit “white collar” crime, should never see the inside of a jail cell. “Nobody should be in jail for a non-violent crime,” Biden said. “When we were in the White House, we released 36,000 people from the federal prison system.”
As Biden continued to trip over himself, and the rest of the field ate each other up, or made outrageous statements like Beto O’Rourke’s, “yes, we are coming for you guns…” clearly, once again, he winner of the 3rd Democratic Debate, was Donald J. Trump!
Lindsey Graham, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee has confirmed that Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz will testify in front of his committee.
Graham predicts that Horowitz will give “chilling testimony” in front of the committee about his highly anticipated report on potential abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, once the report is public.
Graham confirmed the widely expected hearing on the “Wake Up Carolina!” radio show with Ken Ard earlier this month. Graham said he’d call for Horowitz to explain his report to the American public in an open session, though he did not specify exactly when it might happen.
“He will come to the committee to testify — the chairman — and we’ll make sure he gets all the time he needs to tell the country what happened,” Graham said. “He will be in public. We want to do all of it that we can in the open. We don’t want to have a classified session unless we have to.”
As you may know, Horowitz was tasked by Attorney General William Barr, to “investigate the investigators,” specifically the FISA warrents issued that lead to the Mueller investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Mueller’s report which was highly anticipated by the Democrats, exonerated the President of any collusion with the Russians.
Horowitz’s team is examining the FISA application and three renewals beginning in October 2016 to surveil former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. The applications relied heavily on the unverified dossier compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who was hired by opposition research firm Fusion GPS and funded by Democrats.
Horowitz Completes His Investigation
While it still remains to be seen when Horowitz will drop any bombshell testimony on the American public, he has reportedly just completed his investigation. The Hill’s John Solomon made the announcement Thursday August 22 on Fox News speaking to Sean Hannity.
“What I can report tonight, Sean, is that the IG has completed his work on the FISA abuse report. It’s expected to be transmitted as early as next week to Attorney General William Barr and that will begin a process of declassification.”
“I think we are still on track for that timeline, I’ve been saying on your show: mid-September to early October seems the most likely release point,” Solomon said. “It’s going to be a tough report,” he added.
Lindsey Graham meanwhile, promises the revelation of a “deep dive” into the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation once Horowitz’s work is completed. Over the past few days, the South Carolina Republican has said he expects Horowitz’s findings to be “damning and ugly” for the DOJ.
Graham also said he plans to meet with Barr this week to “talk to him about how best to tell the story” and predicted that after his report is released, Horowitz will deliver shocking testimony in front of his panel.
The sobering 18th anniversary for the 9-11 attacks had barely begun, when a loud explosion rocked the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.
A plume of smoke rose over central Kabul shortly after midnight, and sirens could be heard. Inside the embassy, employees heard this message over the loudspeaker, “An explosion caused by a rocket has occurred on compound.”
Officials gave the all-clear about an hour after the blast and reported no injuries. The NATO mission, which is nearby, also said no personnel had been injured.
The attack was the first major action in Kabul since President Trump announced Monday that peace talks with the Taliban to end America’s longest war are “dead.” Over the weekend, Trump abruptly canceled planned meetings with Afghan and Taliban leaders at Camp David. The Taliban had claimed responsibility for two car bombings last week, one of which killed an American soldier.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told Al Jazeera that Trump would regret turning his back on peace talks. “We had two ways to end the occupation in Afghanistan. One was jihad and fighting, the other was talks and negotiations,” said Mujahid. “If Trump wants to stop talks, we will take the first way and they will soon regret it.”
White House insiders have said that Trump initiating the meeting in the first place was instrumental in his firing of John Bolton as his National Security Adviser. Bolton had opposed the meeting.
The War in Afghanistan Always Had Ties to 9-11
The 9/11 anniversary is a sensitive day in Afghanistan’s capital and one on which attacks have occurred. A U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan shortly after the 2001 attack toppled the Taliban, who had harbored Usama bin Laden, the Al Qaeda leader and attacks’ mastermind.
In the nearly 18 years of fighting since then, the number of U.S. troops in Afghanistan soared to 100,000 and dropped dramatically after bin Laden was killed in neighboring Pakistan in 2011.
In addition to the rocket attack on the Embassy on 9-11, last week there were several Taliban ordered bombings including an attack which killed 16 and injured 100, mostly civilians, and an attack Thursday which killed two soldiers and ten civilians.
The Taliban had said they issued the attacks to gain leverage in their negotiations with the US, demanding that all of the approximately 20,000 U.S. and NATO troops leave Afghanistan as soon as possible.
The Afghani government had been critical of any sort of peace agreement, largely because the Taliban had demanded Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani be shut out of the negotiations. “Peace with a group that is still killing innocent people is meaningless,” said Ghani last week. “Afghans have been bitten by this snake before,” added his advisor Waheed Omer.
Authorities have charged a previously deported illegal immigrant from Mexico with 16 counts of child sex crimes, including molestation and rape.
33-year-old Alejandro Alcala-Avala, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was charged with 16 separate counts of child sex crimes after law enforcement officials in Pettis County, Missouri arrested him.
Alcala-Avala is charged with 10 counts of child molestation, two counts of statutory sodomy, first-degree statutory rape, one count of first-degree statutory sodomy, child abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Two of Alcala-Avala’s victims allegedly told police that they were repeatedly raped regularly by the 33-year-old Mexican immigrant, Sedalia Democrat reports. One of his victims reportedly told police that the rapes took place about two to three times a month, whereas the other victim said the rapes “happened all the time”.
The two 14-year-old victims also told authorities that Alcala-Aval – in addition to raping them regularly – would constantly sexually touch them while their clothes were on.
According to a law enforcement official, Alcala-Avala had been operating under the alias “Hermelindo Lorenzo Guapillo-Chavarria” had been deported from the United States in 2014 following an 87-month federal prison sentence for distributing methamphetamine.
Alcala-Avala was somehow able to re-enter the country illegally after he was removed from the country five years earlier. How he did it exactly is still unknown to authorities.
Currently, Alcala-Avala is in police custody at the Pettis County Jail without bond. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has requested that in the case that he is released from custody, he is turned over to them for arrest and eventual deportation.
Though he denies any wrong-doing, a leading professor at MIT has been linked to convicted sex trafficker and pedophile, Jeffery Epstein. According to reporting by USA today, the head of the prestigious university’s Media Lab has resigned and the school has opened an investigation into “deeply disturbing” links between the lab and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, MIT’s president has announced.
The fallout comes three weeks after another senior lab employee said he would resign in protest over revelations lab director Joi Ito took money from Epstein, who apparently committed suicide in jail last month.
Ito, who also taught at MIT, resigned Saturday, hours after an article in The New Yorker detailed how the lab accepted gifts from Epstein despite being listed as “disqualified” in MIT’s official donor database. The article said the lab listed Epstein’s contributions as anonymous and avoided disclosing to the school the full extent of his involvement.
According to the New Yorker, Ito disclosed last week that he had received $1.2 million from Epstein for investment funds Ito controlled, in addition to a $525,000 donation directly to the Media Lab. The New Yorker said Epstein also secured at least $7.5 million in donations, including $2 million from Microsoft founder Bill Gates and $5.5 million from Leon Black, a wealthy equities manager and chairman of the Museum of Modern Art.
Upon hearing of the allegations, MIT President L. Rafael Reif issued a statement to the press calling the accusations “extremely serious” and said MIT’s general counsel was hiring a prominent law firm to conduct an investigation “as swiftly as possible.”
“The New Yorker published an article that contains deeply disturbing allegations about the engagement between individuals at the Media Lab and Jeffrey Epstein,” Reif said. “The acceptance of the Epstein gifts involved a mistake of judgment.”
Ethan Zuckerman, director of the lab’s Center for Civic Media, last month announced that he would resign in protest of the lab’s involvement with Epstein.
Epstein, 66, was found dead in his cell at the federal lockup in Manhattan of what an autopsy report classified as a suicide. An indictment unsealed in July accused him of sexually exploiting and abusing dozens of underage girls at his mansions in Manhattan; Palm Beach, Florida; and elsewhere from 2002 to 2005.
The MIT Media Lab is a research an educational program with an annual budget of about $80 million. The lab includes a graduate enrollment of almost 200 students, and more than 200 undergraduates and grad students from other departments conduct research through the lab each year.
Eighteen years ago today, Islamic extremists launched an attack against the United States on United States soil. The Islamic extremists were members of al Qaeda.
Five of the terrorists hijacked American Airlines flight 11, carrying 92 passengers and crew, and crashed it into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, killing everyone on board.
Another 5 terrorists hijacked United Airlines flight 175, carrying 60 passengers and crew and crashed it into the South Tower of the World Trade Center, killing everyone on board.
Five more terrorists hijacked American Airlines flight 77, carrying 59 passengers and crew and crashed it into the Pentagon, killing everyone on board.
Four more terrorists hijacked United Airlines flight 93 and were planning on crashing it into the US Capitol Building, but some passengers who heard about the other crashes stormed the hijackers and ended up crashing the plane into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
A total of 2,606 people died in the crashes and collapsing of the World Trade Center towers. The death toll at the Pentagon was 125. Counting those on the planes, the total death toll in the attack were 2,977 plus the 19 hijackers. Fatalities totaled more than the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor where 2,335 people died. In both attacks, many more were injured. The collapse of the World Trade Center towers has left a long lasting impact on the health of many of the first responders who are suffering and dying from cancer and other ailments caused by breathing in the toxic smoke and dust.
At the time of the 9/11 attacks, George W. Bush was president and continued to hold that office until January 2009. While he was in office, there was a huge surge in American patriotism with millions of Americans flying their American flags and Congress taking action to try to prevent another attack.
In January 2009, Barack Hussein Obama was sworn into office and the patriotism and American pride that prevailed after the 9/11 attacks quickly diminished and were soon replaced by the scorn and contempt of Democrats, politicians and non-politicians. In many areas, they passed ordinances to prevent people from flying their flags and showing their patriotism. Democrats are busy treading all over the American flag and kneeling in protest at the playing of the National Anthem.
The Obama administration spent 8 years trying to squelch all patriotism and to steal many constitutional and legal rights away from those who still loved and respected America. However, the Obama administration went out of its way to side with and court relationships with some of the same hostile Islamic nations that helped sponsor al Qaeda and other Islamic extremists. Tens of thousands of Muslims were allowed to freely enter the United States while the Obama administration spent tens of the thousands of taxpayer dollars trying to deport 1 Christian family who sought asylum in America due to the religious persecution of the German government.
President Donald Trump has been working hard to restore some of the patriotism and pride that Obama destroyed.
That brings me to the 2020 elections. If Trump is re-elected, efforts will be made to help America heal and regain some of its lost greatness.
However, if Democrats win the White House and the Senate, all of Trump’s efforts would have been in vain and America will be worse off than when Obama usurped residency in the White House. In fact, it’s very probable that if Democrats win in 2020, the America that took intense offense and outrage over the 9/11 attacks will be gone forever. America will cater to Islamic extremists and terrorists and no one will ever be safe within our borders.
